Fees: $100.00 to Preservation Volunteers Site details: This Protestant enclave was established by French Huguenot immigrants fleeing persecution in the 18th century. Although they are long gone, their spiritual belief in austerity, purity, and hard work is reflected in many buildings that are now in the care of the Huguenot Historical Society. Project details: This year will be the second opportunity for volunteers to continue working on buildings along Historic Huguenot Street. Work: Exterior restoration work on several buildings. Woodworking, window glazing, stripping, and painting.
