Vive La Reine

When she could get a word in edgewise from Signor Broccoli, the Lady was
funny, wise, a little naughty, ever-patient, kind and youthful. We
commiserated about husbands, the humidity, disorganized dens, and certain
Brooklyn building projects. Living on enchanted Berkeley Place is a pleasure
and a privilege because of her and her Pooh. They introduced us to the
borough’s finest attractions — its sparkling people, gracious brownstones,
the Garden, Museum, BAM. Is it possible to listen to the Barber of Seville,
see an Egyptian mummy, bite into a pumpernickel bagel or hummus-laden
cracker without thinking of her?

“A hundred times a day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depends
on the labors of other men, and that I must exert myself in order to give in
the measure as I have received and am still receiving.” (Albert Einstein)

You continue to be a source of joy and inspiration; the number of lives you
have touched, changed and enlivened is astounding. We knew you such a short
time, but will carry your smiles, kisses, and love of beauty, history, art,
music and language, etc. etc. etc. with us forever.

Love always,

Neighborhood Cat & Tom Cat / Yin & Yang / Joann & Kevin
